Merry Christmas: Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s film Preponed|Salaar & Dunki Clash Avoided

The much-awaited film Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, has a new release date. The film, which was earlier scheduled to release on December 15, will now hit the screens on December 8, a week earlier than planned. The makers of the film announced the new release date on social media with a poster featuring the lead pair.

Merry Christmas is a thriller directed by Sriram Raghavan, who is known for his acclaimed films like Andhadhun, Badlapur and Johnny Gaddaar. The film is shot in two languages, Hindi and Tamil, with different supporting actors for each version. The film marks the first collaboration between Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, who are two of the most popular stars in their respective industries.

The film is produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg under the banners of Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures. The film’s music is composed by Amit Trivedi, while the cinematography is done by Pankaj Kumar. The film’s shooting was completed in a span of 35 days in Mumbai and Pune.

The film which was earlier scheduled to release on December 15. If they would have sticked to the original release date then it will be a direct clash with the other two Biggies, Dunki & Salaar. Salaar, A telugu film directed by Prashanth Neel starring Prabhas and Prithviraj and Dunki, SRK Film directed by one of the best directors in India, Rajkumar Hirani.
