The first look teaser of the much-awaited horror sequel Demonte Colony 2 has been released on YouTube. The film, which stars Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, is written and produced by Ajay Gnanamuthu, who also directed the first part. The teaser gives a glimpse of the spooky and thrilling plot of the film, which is set to release in 2023.
Demonte Colony 2 is a continuation of the 2015 film Demonte Colony, which was a hit among the audience and critics for its unique concept and tense atmosphere. The film revolved around four friends who visit a haunted mansion in Chennai and get trapped in a series of horrifying events. The sequel will act as both a prequel and a sequel to the original film, and will explore the origin and aftermath of the curse that haunts the mansion.
The teaser shows Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar as a couple who move into a new house, unaware of its dark history. They soon encounter strange and terrifying phenomena that threaten their lives. The teaser also features glimpses of other characters, such as Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid and Archana R, who play pivotal roles in the film.
The film has music by Sam CS, cinematography by Harish Kannan and Deepak D Menon, editing by Kumaresh D, production design by Ravi Pandi and stunt choreography by Ganesh. The film is co-written by Venkatesh and Rajavel, who are also part of the direction team along with Baharudeen and Naveen Varadharajan. The film is jointly produced by Gnanamuthu Pattarai and White Nights Entertainment.
