The Tamil film industry is buzzing with excitement as the news of a collaboration between actor Sivakarthikeyan and director AR Murugadoss has been confirmed. The project, which is yet to be titled, is expected to start rolling from early 2024 and will be produced by Lyca Productions.
Sivakarthikeyan will be joining hands with AR Murugadoss for the first time. The actor, who is known for his comedy and romantic roles, will be seen in a different avatar as he will be playing a serious and intense character in the action thriller.
AR Murugadoss, who is one of the most successful directors in Tamil cinema, has delivered blockbuster hits like Ghajini, Thuppakki, Kaththi and Darbar. He is also known for his collaborations with Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Interestingly, the script of the upcoming film with Sivakarthikeyan was initially written for Shah Rukh Khan, but the project was shelved due to some reasons. The director has reportedly made some changes to the script to suit the Tamil audience and the star power of Sivakarthikeyan.
The film will also mark the Kollywood debut of Tollywood actress Mrunal Thakur, who is in the final stage of signing the project. The actress is said to be impressed by the script and her role in the film.
Another highlight of the film is the music by Anirudh Ravichander, who is one of the most popular composers in Tamil cinema. Anirudh has a long-standing association with both Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss. He has composed music for eight films of Sivakarthikeyan, including Ethir Neechal, Maan Karate, Kakki Sattai, Remo, Velaikkaran, Doctor and Don. He has also worked with AR Murugadoss in two films, Kaththi and Darbar. The fans are eagerly waiting for the musical magic that Anirudh will create for this film.
The film is expected to be a grand spectacle with high-octane action sequences and stunning visuals. The makers are planning to shoot the film in various locations across India and abroad. The film will also feature a strong supporting cast of actors from Tamil and Hindi cinema. The film is slated to release in late 2024 or early 2025.
