Salaar, the much-awaited action thriller starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The makers of the film announced the news on social media with a statement and a poster. The statement read:

Please understand this decision is made with care, as we’re committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards. The poster featured Prabhas in a fierce look with a gun in his hand and a red star logo with his name on it. The poster also had “SALAAR – CEASEFIRE” written in red.
Salaar is directed by Prashanth Neel, who is known for his blockbuster K.G.F franchise. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films banner. The film marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Neel, and the first Telugu venture of Neel. The film also marks the return of Prithviraj to Telugu cinema after 12 years.
The film’s shoot began in January 2021 in the coal mines near Godavarikhani, Telangana. The film was shot in various locations across India, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ladakh. The film’s music is composed by Ravi Basrur, while the cinematography is done by Bhuvan Gowda.
Salaar is a multilingual film that will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The film was initially scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 28 September 2023 but has been postponed to November 2023.

Jagapathi Babu plays the role of Raja Mannaar, a powerful politician and Vardharaja’s father.
