Marvel Studios has unveiled the first look at the second season of Loki, the hit Disney+ show that follows the god of mischief (Tom Hiddleston) as he travels through time and space with the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The poster, which was released on social media, reveals the release date of the new season, as well as some clues about what to expect from the multiverse-hopping adventure.

The poster confirms that Loki season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 6, 2023, and will consist of six episodes. It also suggests that Loki will have to deal with multiple versions of himself and other characters, as well as the consequences of Sylvie’s decision to kill He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) and unleash the multiverse in the season 1 finale.
According to Eric Martin, the head writer of Loki season 2, the new season will explore Loki’s journey to find Sylvie, who betrayed him and sent him to a different TVA branch where no one recognizes him. Martin also teased that Loki will encounter new threats and allies in the multiverse, as well as some familiar faces from his past. He also hinted that Loki will have to face his own flaws and insecurities, and learn to trust himself and others.
The cast of Loki season 2 will include Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Eugene Cordero as Casey/Hunter K-5E, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice as Hunter D-90, Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely (a variant of He Who Remains), and Ke Huy Quan as Kang (another variant of He Who Remains).
Loki season 2 is expected to tie in with other upcoming Marvel projects that deal with the multiverse, such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and What If…?. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Loki will affect and be affected by these events.
