According to the latest reports, the film has been confirmed to release in IMAX format in America by the distributor CineGalaxy. This will be the first time a Vijay film will be released in IMAX, which is a premium large-screen format that offers enhanced picture and sound quality. CineGalaxy has also announced that there will be no other major IMAX release during Leo’s release period in America, which means that the film will have a wide and exclusive IMAX release.
The film will also be released in EPIQ screen format, which is another large-screen format that offers 4K projection and Dolby Atmos sound. EPIQ screens are available in select locations across India and overseas. Leo will be one of the few Indian films to have a simultaneous release in both IMAX and EPIQ formats.
The film’s UK distributor, Ahimsha Entertainment, has also hinted at the IMAX release of Leo in UK. This means that the film will have a huge IMAX release in both America and UK, which are two of the biggest overseas markets for Tamil films. The film’s India release details are yet to be announced, but it is expected that the film will also have an IMAX release in India.
