Kanguva is one of the most anticipated movies of 2024, starring Suriya in five different roles as a fierce warrior who lived in the 17th century. The official title Kanguva was revealed in April 2023 along with the first glimpse of Suriya’s look as Arathar.
The first glimpse of the movie was released on July 23, 2023, coinciding with Suriya’s birthday. The glimpse showed Suriya as a valiant warrior leading an army to war in a dark and gloomy night. The glimpse received mixed reviews from the critics and fans, as some praised Suriya’s presence and Siva’s direction, while others criticized the VFX quality and the lack of originality. However, the makers clarified that most of the shots in the glimpse were just for the promo and only a few of them will be in the final film.
The first look poster of the movie will be released on July 23, 2023 at 5 pm IST. The poster also revealed that the movie will be released in 10 languages in both 2D and 3D formats.
Kanguva is expected to be a massive hit at the box office, as it has a huge fan following and hype among the audience. Kanguva will also be Disha Patani’s debut in Tamil cinema, as she plays the female lead opposite Suriya.
