Empuraan, the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster Malayalam movie Lucifer, is all set to begin its promo shooting next week. The movie, which stars Mohanlal in the lead role, will be directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who also helmed the first part. The movie is expected to be a high-octane action thriller that will explore the rise of Stephen Nedumpally, the mysterious character played by Mohanlal, from a king to a god.
The movie, which is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, has a star-studded cast that includes Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saniya Iyappan, and Nyla Usha. The movie also marks the Malayalam debut of Bollywood actor John Abraham, who will play a pivotal role in the movie.
