Dhruva Natchathiram, one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year, is finally getting ready to release after several delays and hurdles. The film, directed by Gautham Menon, stars Vikram as a spy who leads a team of agents called Dhruva. The film also features Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma, Simran, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Parthiban and Vinayakan in pivotal roles.

Vinayakan, who has gained immense popularity in Tamil Nadu with his villainous role in Jailer opposite Rajinikanth, will be seen as one of the main antagonists in Dhruva Natchathiram. Interestingly, Gautham Menon had cast him years before Nelson Dilipkumar had roped him in for Jailer. Vinayakan is known for his versatile performances in Malayalam cinema and has won several awards for his acting.

Dhruva Natchathiram was announced in 2016 and was expected to release in 2018. However, the film faced production issues and financial troubles that caused it to be postponed multiple times. There were also reports of differences between Vikram and Gautham Menon over the film’s script and direction. However, the team managed to overcome all the obstacles and completed the shooting earlier this year.

The film’s trailer, which was released in January 2020, received a massive response from the fans and critics alike. The trailer showcased the sleek and stylish action sequences, the exotic locations, the intriguing plot and the impressive star cast of the film. The film’s music is composed by Harris Jayaraj, who has collaborated with Gautham Menon for several hit films in the past.

The makers of Dhruva Natchathiram are eyeing for a Diwali release, but they might face a tough competition from other big releases. Leo, another Tamil film starring Vijay and directed by Atlee, is also scheduled to release on the same date. Leo is a sports drama that features Vijay as a football coach. Gautham Menon has also acted in a cameo role in Leo.

It remains to be seen whether Dhruva Natchathiram will be able to secure a Diwali slot or will have to wait for another month. Either way, the fans are eagerly waiting for the film to hit the screens and witness the thrilling spy adventure of Vikram and his team. Dhruva Natchathiram promises to be a treat for the action lovers and a milestone in Tamil cinema. Let’s wait for more updates from the makers.
