Chandan Kumar, the popular actor and director who has worked in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films, is all set to star and direct his upcoming film Flirt. The film is a romantic comedy that revolves around the life of a young man who loves to flirt with different women. The film is expected to be a fun-filled entertainer with a lot of humour and drama.
The film will also feature the music of Jassie Gift, the renowned music composer and playback singer who has composed songs for Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. Jassie Gift is known for his hit songs like “Lajjavathiye” from 4 The People, “Themma Themma Themmadikkatte” from Thommanum Makkalum, “Nillu Nillu” from Chathikkatha Chanthu, and many more. He is also credited with popularising rapping and hip-hop in Kerala. Jassie Gift has won the Best Music Director award at The Bangalore Times Film Awards 2011 for his work in Sanju Weds Geetha.
Chandan Kumar made his debut as an actor in the Kannada film Parinaya in 2014. He then went on to act in films like Luv U Alia, Bangalore 560023, Prema Baraha, SriKrishna@gmail.com, and others. He also acted in several television serials like Radha Kalyana, Lakshmi Baramma, Sarvamangala Mangalye, Savitramma Gari Abbayi, Srimathi Srinivas, and others. He was also a contestant in reality shows like Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru, Dancing Stars season 1, Bigg Boss Kannada 3, and Cookku with Kirikku.
Chandan Kumar made his debut as a director with the Kannada film Ronny, which is yet to be released. The film stars Kiran Raj in the lead role and is based on skydiving. Chandan Kumar has also written the story and screenplay for the film.
Flirt is expected to go on floors soon and will be produced by Chandan Kumar himself under his banner Chandan Productions. The cast and crew of the film are yet to be announced.
