Chaaver Movie Short Review: A Thriller With Brilliant Moments But Weak Script

Chaaver is a Malayalam thriller film directed by Tinu Pappachan and starring Kunjako Boban, Arjun Ashokan and Manoj K.U in the lead roles. The film revolves around the aftermath of a murder that took place in Kannur and how the culprits try to escape from the law. The film boasts of a strong technical team, with Jinto handling the camera, Ranganath Ravi the sound, Justin Varghese the music and Nishadh Yusuf the editing. The script is written by Joy Mathew, who also plays a pivotal role in the film.

The film has a promising premise and a nonlinear narrative that reveals the story layer by layer. The direction by Tinu Pappachan is excellent and the performances by the actors are stunning. The film also has some references to the previous films of Tinu Pappachan and his mentor Lijo Jose Pellissery.

However, the film suffers from a weak script that fails to engage the audience and create any wow moments. The dialogues are good but not memorable. The film also lacks a clear message or a purpose. The film could have been much better if the script was more polished and gripping.

Chaaver is an average film that has some brilliant moments but also some dull ones. It is not the best film of Tinu Pappachan, but it can be better. It is a film that can be watched once, but not remembered for long.
