Ayalaan, the much-awaited science fiction comedy film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh, has finally announced its release date. The film, which is directed by R. Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame, will hit the screens on Pongal/Sankranti 2024. The makers have also unveiled the latest poster of the film, which features Sivakarthikeyan with a spaceship hovering and an alien jumping out of the spaceship.
Ayalaan, which means stranger in Tamil, is a story of a lost alien who seeks help from Sivakarthikeyan’s character to go back to his home. The film promises to be an extraterrestrial treat for the audience, with over 4500 visual effects shots, the most for an Indian film. The film also boasts of a stellar cast and crew, including Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu and Karunakaran. The music is composed by none other than A. R. Rahman, who has collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time.
The film was initially announced in 2016 and went on floors in 2018. However, due to various reasons, the film faced several delays and hurdles in its production. The makers have expressed their gratitude to the fans for their patience and support, and have assured that the wait will be worth it. They have also announced that they will release the teaser of the film in the first week of October.
Ayalaan is produced by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under KJR Studios, in association with 24AM Studios and PhantomFX Studios. The film will be distributed by KJR Studios and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
The fans are eagerly waiting for the teaser and the release of Ayalaan, which is expected to be a grand celebration in theaters this Pongal/Sankranti.
