Actor Silambarasan TR, who is popularly known as STR, is gearing up for his next big project, tentatively titled STR48. The film, which is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, will be directed by Desingh Periyasamy, who made his debut with the romantic comedy Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadhithaal.
According to sources, the film will be a period action drama, and STR will be playing a dual role in it. The actor has undergone intense training in martial arts and fitness for his character. He recently visited London for some workouts and also did a secret test shoot with the team in Chennai. The first look of the film is expected to be released soon.
The shooting of the film will start from the second week of November at a huge set in Chennai. The pre-production work is going on in full swing, and the team is finalizing the outfits, set work, and locations. The other cast members are yet to be announced, but it is speculated that Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for the film. Another buzz is that Ravi Basur, who scored the music for the blockbuster KGF series, might be roped in for the film.
STR48 will be the most expensive film in STR’s career, and it marks his first collaboration with Kamal Haasan as a producer. The film also marks the 56th film of Kamal Haasan as a producer. Kamal Haasan, who is currently busy with the shoot of Indian 2 and Vikram 2, has also announced that he will be teaming up with Mani Ratnam for his 234th film.
STR48 is one of the most anticipated projects in Kollywood, and fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on the film.
