Raj B Shetty announces the release date of his romantic drama ‘Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye’

Raj B Shetty, the acclaimed writer and director of ‘Ondu Motteya Kathe’ and ‘Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana’, has finally announced the release date of his third directorial venture, ‘Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye’. The film, which marks the debut production of actor Ramya under AppleBox Studios, will hit the screens on November 24, 2023.

The film’s poster, which was unveiled recently, features Raj B Shetty and Siri Ravikumar in the lead roles. The poster also reveals that the film is set in a picturesque location of a tea plantation, and promises a poetic love story. The film also stars Balaji Manohar, Surya Vasishta, Rekha Kudligi, and others in supporting roles.

Raj B Shetty, who is known for his quirky and unconventional stories, has wrapped up the shooting of the film in a single schedule of 18 days. He has shot the film in parts of Ooty and Mysuru, and has praised Siri Ravikumar for giving an extraordinary performance. The film has music by Midhun Mukundan and cinematography by Praveen Shriyan, who also doubles as the editor.

In an interview with The New Indian Express1, Ramya said that the film will make the audience fall in love with love. She also said that she learnt a lot about production while working on this project. She expressed her hope that the film will be well received by the viewers, as it has a lot to show and say without showing and saying much.

‘Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye’ is one of the most awaited films of the year, as it marks the comeback of Raj B Shetty after a gap of four years. His previous films have won critical acclaim and audience appreciation for their unique themes and humour. Raj B Shetty is also making his Malayalam debut with ‘Rudhiram’, which is expected to go on floors in February 2023.
