Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has been roped in to play the villain in Kanguva, the upcoming Tamil action thriller starring Suriya in the lead role. The film, directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Studio Green, is slated to release in early 2024.

A poster featuring Bobby Deol’s look in the film was also shared by some of the journalists on social media. The poster shows him wearing a black suit and sunglasses, with a menacing expression on his face. The journalists also reported that Bobby Deol’s portions will be shot in Bangkok by August.

Kanguva Glimpse

The film’s team has not officially confirmed the news yet, but it is expected that they will make an announcement soon. The film also stars Disha Patani as the female lead, who will join the Bangkok schedule along with Suriya and Bobby Deol.

The film’s first look and glimpse were released earlier this year, which showed Suriya in a rugged and intense avatar. The film is said to be a high-octane action drama, with Suriya playing a dual role of a father and son. The film also has some portions set in Kodaikanal, where Suriya’s character is shown as a farmer.

Kanguva marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Siruthai Siva, who is known for his blockbuster films like Vedalam, Vivegam and Viswasam. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Bobby Deol, who was last seen in Race 3 and Class of 83. The film’s music is composed by D Imman, who has previously worked with Siruthai Siva in Viswasam.
